The Oscar-Patzelt-Foundation grants again the most important award of Germany's medium-sized businesses
Once more one of the best: bema reaches jury stage for the fourth time
The Oscar-Patzelt-Foundation administers to the nationwide acknowledgement of outstanding performances of medium-sized enterprises and since 1994 it grants the business award “Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Enterprises” in autumn of every year. It is not the overall business development that is paramount to this award but the role the enterprise plays in society. According to the motto “Healthy medium-sized enterprises - strong economy - more jobs” the Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation asks communities, associations and other institutions to nominate outstanding enterprises. This year a total number of 4.917 enterprises were nominated. bema GmbH Maschinenfabrik from Voltlage-Weese in Lower Saxony is one of the 230 enterprises that were nominated in the Lower Saxony/Bremen region.
In the second phase of the competition the jury requests evidence of outstanding performances in the areas of overall development, innovation and modernisation, creating and protecting jobs and training places, engagement in the region as well as service, customer focus and marketing form the nominated enterprises. With the distinction “jury stage reached” the machine manufacturer bema has convinced in all five categories of the competition for the fourth time. Finally 742 enterprises from all over Germany are competing to master the last competitive hurdle. These days, twelve regional juries take their decision on the finalists, prize winners and special prize winners. The selected enterprises will be honoured in September 2018. Until this day the results will be kept secret. Highlight and closing of the competition 2018 will be the traditional federal ball in October in Berlin where the nationwide special prizes will be awarded this year.
