Summer night party 2019

For the 15th time, teams got together to celebrate and dig for a good cause.

Just as it has done every year, the 'Weeser Sport' club organised the popular summer night fete with a beach volleyball tournament on the first weekend in July. The ultimate party weekend started on Friday evening with the legendary Schlagerparty, where 'Klangwerk' the workshop band and guests from the HpH volunteer service ensured a cheerful atmosphere. This year however, 'Weeser Sport' was the particular focus of the celebration.

Since 2004, 'Weeser Sport' has made the proceeds from the summer night event available to regional projects and the work of 'Heilpädagogische Hilfe Bersenbrück (HpH)' in aid of people with disabilities. Christian Calderone, a member of the CDU in the state parliament, Sonja Koopmann, Managing Director of bema, and Petra Böske, head of HpH's sports department, used the 15th summer night fete to thank all those involved for their many years of commitment towards local citizens.

This year, all of starting places for the beach volleyball tournament had already been allocated within 24 hours. On Saturday at midday, 40 mixed teams kicked off the tournament on the 3 sand courts. Afterwards, a real party atmosphere got going at the summer night fete in the halls of the bema factory.
